Intro to Backpacking - August 16th - 8am - 11:30am - register for our backpacking course where you will learn about: clothing, gear, planning, and safety; additionally, a brief introduction to Leave-No-Trace Outdoor Ethics will be given during the hikes.

Also included are four hikes, the hikes will build on each other, expanding skills and comfort levels, they will include: a shakedown day-hike to become accustomed to the backpacking gear, and to properly adjust it to your body; a single night hike to get a feel for backpacking (minimum weight pack); a single night hike (full weight pack); and a final two-night hike with full gear.
