Police log for the week of May 8
Plum Police are investigating after a man reported the theft of cash from his vehicle at the East Suburban YMCA on May 2.
The victim noticed his car keys were missing from his locker the day cash was stolen from his vehicle and told officers that cash was stolen from his locker on April 30.
• Aaron Daniel Walkow, 23, of 131 Dalecrest Road in Verona, was charged with making false reports to law enforcement, criminal attempt to commit retail theft, criminal conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance.
• David M. Miller, 22, of 112 Vincent Drive in Verona, was charged with two counts of retail theft and two counts of criminal attempt to commit retail theft.
Theft
• A vehicle was stolen from 6 Commerce Drive on May 2.
• Kubrick Brothers' Lawnmower Shop reported that a customer left with his repaired lawnmower but refused to pay the bill on April 29. The customer told officers he would pay the bill and the business owners declined to press charges.
• A Plum resident received a package on April 30 that was supposed to contain a cell phone, but when the resident opened the box, it was empty.
Miscellaneous
• Two people were cited after an incident on May 2 on Saltsburg Road. A woman was found by an officer walking down the street. She told the officer she left her boyfriend's vehicle after an argument.
The officer gave her a breathalyzer test and determined she was publicly intoxicated. The officer drove her back to her boyfriend's vehicle, which was abandoned and parked halfway onto the road.
The boyfriend was in the nearby woods and refused to come out and move his vehicle.
The car was towed and both the man and woman were cited by police.

Seriously...this makes the newspaper? You all really should be ashamed of yourselves. For all of you PLUMMERS that complain about your high taxes, quite possibly you may consider eliminating a few police positions. It looks as if they are not very busy with crime these days.
