Summer reading program nears end
Registration is required for each event of the summer reading program, one week in advance, and can be made by stopping by the registration desk at Plum Community Library, 445 Center New Texas Road.
Friday
• Story time with Red Robin of Pittsburgh Mills at 10 a.m. for children ages 5 to 10.
• "Kids Stitch" from 11 a.m. to noon for children age 9 and older.
• Story time with Michelle Zajac for children ages 7 to 9 at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday
• Tiny Tots, story time for 2- and 3-year-olds, at 11 a.m.
• Tot Time, story time for 4-, 5- and 6-year-olds, at 1 p.m.
• Story time with Shannon O'Connor for children in kindergarten through the second grade at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday
• "Get Buggy" with teacher Lynda Frazetta at 10 a.m. for children in kindergarten through the third grade.
• "Get Buggy" with teacher Debbie Galmoff at 10 a.m. for children in the fourth through seventh grades.
July 31
• "Get Buggy" with teacher Marybeth London-Gibbon at 10 a.m. for children in kindergarten through the third grade.
• Professor Bumblebee will visit the library at 6:30 p.m. with this year's final summer program.
Names of those who participated in this year's summer reading program will be drawn for prizes. Winners do not need to be present. Children have until Aug. 9 to return their summer reading folders, get another coupon and submit their final reading tally.
