About 8 years ago we had a local meeting at the Plum Council chambers to educate Plum residents about Plum maintaining local control over district federal requirements for graduation and all levels of education would be affected from Goal 2000 contract that the school board submitted and signed. The meeting was on Good Friday the oraganization CATS(Citizens against Tax squandering) posted meeting signs throughout Plum on A sunday evening around 7-8 oclock. By 8"o'clock am on Moday morning the signs were removed. I contacted Quinn on the radio and he announced the meeting. Only about 30- residents showed up a the meeting/ The guest speaker was a women named Anita Hogue(she was a prior running mate for govenor and teacher) We were instructed that every student would be tested starting at entry to school, 3rd, 5th, 8th, 11th grade to determine their educational abilities. Out of these testing results the students would be classified and eduacted to a certain level 20% would be executives, CEOs etc, 40% skilled educated workers for example, nurses, computer techs etc and the other 40% would be our future unskilled work force. The program can be researched back to the late 1960's. The USA's large manufacturers have moved out the country for cheaper labor, even our high tech jobs are being out-sourced to third world countries. The US workforce has depleted we import much more than we export, homelessness, poverty and crime on the rise. The seals would be placed on their diplomas so that employers will know who has achieved competency in reading, writing and math which makes that person marketable deserving a better wage per hour. Those without the seal would be our future workforce to compete with 3rd world countries working for pennies with housing, medical assistance and food stamps being provided. Just take a look around, I was shocked by all the information that Ms Hogue presented to us. I went to President of school board who at the time was John Schmeck and the rest of the school board I begged them to send a bill of rights with their Goal 2000 contract to the goverment but the school board blew it off. The local school board had accepted a large amount of funding to remodel AE Oblock, center, regency pivik and the high school all within a period of several years. When the Goal 2000 contract was signed and submitted that gave the jurisidication of the school district over to state and federal goverment. The school district must complain with all the regulations. The tool to maintaining your control over your childs educate to not permit your child to take the Pennsylvania state assessment test in the spring at 3rd, 5th, 8th, 11th grade levels. The school will tell you that they have participate in the testing (its against your religous belief is the only way to get out of testing). The school district recieves a dollar amount for each student that participates in testing only the results of the test can mean that your child doesnt get the level of education that each and every child should be recieving. Start paying attention, get involved begin researching facts The future of your children requires your involvement. If your a property owner your paying for the government to educate your child not to withold education based on test results. Are you aware that if your child recieves free luches that they are entitled to more personal services such as a teacher tutuor versus a student tutor? Are you aware that the school gathers income, martial staus and classification upon which neighbor you live in trying to get your child government assistance to increase their revenue. Why are the citizens of USA letting government gain more and more control over our decisions that affect our future for our children? Why are our younger men and women fighting for democracy in a third world country as our government enforces more control over us? This is just a small piece of the whole puzzel its up to those of you who are raising our future generations to fight for your childrens future.
